The G8 2620 PRO SERIES orthotic insoles are designed to increase your ability to maximise your power transfer making you a faster skater or one that can skate longer distances with less foot and lower leg fatigue.
For performance sports such as speed skating and roller derby, these might be a game-changer. The insoles provide a solid adjustable base to suit feet of all sizes and levels of flexibility and strength plus accommodate for an adaptation of the foot over time.
Its design maximises flex of the forefoot and increases blood flow in the feet, helping reduce numb feet.
These footbeds feature 5 different inserts to adjust the area under the arch of the foot and behind the metatarsals. What you will find is gentle support that is flexible and not creating a single pressure point that might happen with other off-the-shelf inner soles that are not customisable. G8 Performance principal David Lee has taken a slightly different approach to cycling insoles. Rather than rigidly supporting the arch, Lee opines that your foot transfers power more efficiently when the arch can move more naturally. Yes, you read that right! These inner soles were first developed for cyclists who wear a shoe that can hold the foot in a rigid position for many hours leading to the dreaded numb foot syndrome and the consequential loss of power.
Ice hockey players were quick to add these inner soles to their hockey skates and it makes sense that the inner soles will perform just as well for those that use a stiff speed skate boot, or high-end rec skate that locks the ankle and foot into one position.
FEATURES:
These are not a ‘set and forget’ footbed! You will need some patience and diligence to check in with your feet and modify one aspect at a time whether it be height or the fore or aft position of the under arch suspension piece. You may even find that one foot will have the arch support height and /or position different from the other foot.
Sizes: SM = US4.5-US7, M = US7.5-US9.5, L = US10-US12, X L = US13-US15
Pro Tips! Start with the Lowest arch piece set about midway Progressively move the arch piece as far forward as is comfortable for the wearer 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with a higher arch piece using wearers' comfort as your guide 4. Go for a skate in the new setup. 5. After both feet have been set up remove one G8 Insole and replace it with the original insole from the skate. This will reset proprioceptors to realise the changes that have taken place. 6. Remove the original insole and replace it with G8 Insole
Expectations: The foot will change over time. Be patient. The highest arch piece is governed by your skeletal structure Changing the arch piece height or moving it forward can take weeks/months--everyone is different.
Remember, when cutting the innersole to suit your size…measure twice, cut once!

Please allow extra shipping time as these have to be ordered in batches from us and your order may have come in at the beginning of an ordering cycle. We do keep all sizes on the shelf at the shop but there might just be the potential for a popular size to be physically out of stock in the shop itself but in stock with the supplier.
